Okay. Here's one to get things going. You were telling me about the next generation of Nvidia cards based on the Volta architecture. But I read an article which said those cards were mainly for graphics-intensive purposes in areas like data research and art design. They aren't really meant for gaming. At least not yet.
Absolutely, but you need to keep in mind they do this with every tech cycle they have.. and there have been articles similar to this before.. specifically with their Tesla architecture. They normally develop high-end compute cards for render farms- I know Google uses a bunch of them for background data processing.. But they also have a scaled down consumer and prosumer paths with the same tech. Basically just a scaled down core count.
